Materiality is currently on view at Direktorenhaus Berlin showcasing industrial design by Benjamin Hubert.
The inaugural solo exhibition aims to expose the working process of Hubert's burgeoning design studio in addition to highlighting outstanding finished pieces.
As indicated in the title of the exhibition, Benjamin Hubert exercises a materials driven design approach. Much of his studio's inspiration originates from a tactile response to raw material and the experience of a close working relationship between the product, the process and the respective craftsman. Materiality articulates this distinctive approach by revealing a series of images, components, prototypes and materials, creating a wormhole from the London based studio to the heart of Berlin.

Between 2004-2009, both before and during the setup of his studio, Hubert worked for a variety of large design consultancies active in fields like transport, interiors, consumer and packaging design.
